Jini Sebakunzi

Program and Grant Manager at the Global Solidarity Fund

''Curiosity is in my DNA, and I am never scared to try something new. This is probably why I am passionate about partnerships, sustainability, entrepreneurship, leadership, and storytelling.

As a bridge-builder, I work with organizations to build strategic partnerships with all the stakeholders (corporates, foundations, multilateral organizations, startups, faith-based organizations) to execute initiatives to empower local communities within the emerging markets.
I am active as the Program and Grant Manager at the Global Solidarity Fund, an organization catalyzing partnerships for the most vulnerable across the private sector, the development sector, and faith-based organizations.

I am also passionate about supporting entrepreneurs in emerging markets, by being a member in multiple Mentor networks to support Founders across Africa and MENA regions.
My curiosity led me to support stakeholders spanning across various sectors including digital transformation, women empowerment, mobility, circular economy and renewable energy.
As one of the Global Fellows at Acumen, I worked directly with entrepreneurs, provided strategic input on pressing business challenges, interacted with customers, and grappled, first-hand, with the complex issues of addressing the needs of the poor.

For the last 15 years, with the people I met along the way, I developed great cultural awareness by living and working in Western Europe, West & East African regions, Brazil and the United States.''
