Covid-19 Update. Measures and ordinances in Switzerland

The American Institute in Switzerland commits to protecting its students and staff at all times. We strictly comply with the regulations and recommendations set by the Swiss Health Authorities in an effort to safeguard the health and well-being of our entire community.
As of the 31st May 2021 the restrictions in Switzerland are easing as a result of Coronavirus case numbers continuing to fall. As of the 1st of June, over 4.8 million doses have been administered and over 3 million people have already received their first dose. Source
The overview below shows the rules and bans that currently apply nationwide in Switzerland. In other words, these measures, at the very minimum, apply throughout Switzerland. Stricter measures may apply in certain cantons. You can find information about these in the section entitled Cantonal measures.
