The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program at the American Institute ofApplied Sciences Institute in Switzerland (AUS) provides students with opportunities to build thenecessary skills for the future with a deep understanding of business and technological trendson a global scale and with hands-on experience via close links to the industry. At this first levelof study, AUS students earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree thatqualifies them for a profession in business management and the opportunity to continue theirstudies further and earn a Master of Science in International Business Administration degree.

At AUS, we focus on integrating traditional business knowledge with practical decision-making,problem-solving, creativity, and strategic thinking while engaging in real-world projects. Wecreate a learning environment that emphasizes collaboration and team building alongsideacademic work. We recognize that business leaders today must master the hard skills needed tomake data-driven decisions and the soft skills necessary to make them better collaborators. All courses are taught in English by leading business visionaries in small dynamic cohorts. Ourprofessors have experience in successful business ventures, providing our students with real-lifelessons learned and best practices. This background allows our professors to share their

Dual Swiss and US Degree Program

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program at AUS is exclusively offeredas a Dual Degree Program (DDP) in collaboration with Tiffin University (TU) in the United States.This partnership ensures that all enrolled BSBA students will graduate with both a Bachelor ofScience in Business Administration from AUS and a Bachelor of Business Administration fromTU.

In order to receive dual degrees, students must successfully complete the required AUS and TUcourses. The curricula are mixtures of AUS and TU courses designed to provide students with themaximum exposure to the necessary knowledge and skills for the future workplace, emphasizingcritical thinking, problem-solving, research technologies, and multimodal communicationmethods. The TU programs are offered both in person and online with videos, discussion rooms,readings, and other assignments. For online classes, AUS students will be in the same class as TUstudents, thus enabling interaction.

Students will take both AUS and TU courses to complete their required coursework. AUS courseswill be taught on campus and TU courses both on campus and remotely, with the option ofstudent exchanges to either university under certain conditions.

When a bachelor’s student successfully completes the DDP, the student will graduate, in theirchosen specialty, with a BSBA from AUS and a BBA from TU.

Tiffin University has US Higher Learning Commission accreditation, which is recognized by mostministries of education.

Healthcare Administration Specialization

The Healthcare Administration specialization is designed to provide you with the knowledge,skills and competencies necessary for managing in the 21st century healthcare industry.Healthcare managers must have expertise not only in healthcare, but also a working knowledgein key business areas such as operations, accounting, finance, marketing, human resources,leadership, strategy and more.

The knowledge gained from the Healthcare Management provides you with an excellentfoundation of knowledge, skills and abilities for working effectively in a variety of managementcapacities. You’ll also be prepared to work in various non-clinical, non-management positionswithin the industry.

Program Structure

The Bachelor’s program is a three-year program during which the student must obtain 135credit hours | 180 European Credit Transfer System. The three-year program structurecomprises nine academic terms, with three terms per year (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Each termtypically includes ten weeks of instruction and two weeks of examinations.

A standard course of study to complete a BSBA program over three years requires thecompletion of thirty (30) AUS core courses, including the capstone, ten (10) TU core courses,and five (5) AUS elective courses.

The conferring of a degree follows only after completing the following requirements:

  • Academic credit requirements – a minimum of 135 CH | 180 ECTS.
  • Students who are enrolled in a dual degree program with our educational partner TiffinUniversity (TU) shall be subjected to the specific TU conditions for graduation.

BSBA students have other credit-earning opportunities, when available, by working withprofessors on research initiatives and program activities surrounding their specialization.
