QS Stars is a rating system designed to help prospective students look beyond a single overall position and identify the areas that matter to them, including program strength, facilities, graduate employability, social responsibility, and inclusiveness.

The system recognizes that universities have different strengths and that the highest-ranked institution may not be the right fit for every student. It helps students compare institutions against a broad set of indicators and match their priorities with universities that perform well in those areas.

Under the QS Stars methodology, universities are evaluated across dozens of indicators in at least eight categories. The assessment results in an overall rating from zero to five-plus stars, based on the points achieved.
