Dr Haluk Haksal is an expert with over twenty years of experience in academic research, training,and publishing in the field of economic development and sustainability, as well as in international organizations like the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the InternationalLabor Organization.He holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Ph.D. in Economics from Swiss universities.

He is theauthor of a book on economic development, which offers a solid, theoretically informed, andmulti-faceted account of the struggles faced by a developing country and the mixed results thatemerge as it attempts a transition towards a market economy.He has also conducted research on external imbalances in the Eurozone and debt management with a development economics perspective
