From a visionary idea in 1963 to a leading international business school in Switzerland.
The Founding Story
The story of AUS Business School began in 1963 with the creation of the American College of Switzerland, whose academic body had the vision of combining the effectiveness of American graduate education with the Swiss work ethic.
Building upon this vision, four of the ACS teachers created the American Graduate School of Business in 1991, which grew into one of the leading international business schools in Switzerland.
In 2019, the school changed its name from the American Graduate School of Business to the AUS Business School to reflect its growing international education status.

AGSB founded
Four ACS teachers create the American Graduate School of Business in La Tour-de-Peilz, Switzerland.
Campus established
AGSB sets up its permanent campus in La Tour-de-Peilz, welcoming its first cohorts.
AVDEP recognition
Recognized by the Association of Private Schools in Canton Vaud.
SFPS membership
Joins the Swiss Federation of Private Schools.
ECIS membership
Becomes a member of the European Council of International Schools.
College Board & VA approval
Gains College Board membership and approval by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
AAHEA accreditation
Accredited by the American Association for Higher Education.
ASIC accreditation
Gains Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities.
New campus inauguration
Opens the doors to its expanded, modern campus in La Tour-de-Peilz.
Global partnerships
Signs academic agreements with institutions in Mexico, Colombia, Georgia, Lebanon, and India. Reaccredited by IACBE.
ECBE & expansion
Reaccredited by ECBE. Partnerships with institutions in Saudi Arabia. Establishment of AGSB S.A.
AUS is born
Renamed to AUS Business School. IATA certification. Dual degree partnership with Tiffin University. New partnerships in Malaysia, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
