For approved foreign programs, VA pays eligible net tuition and mandatory fees up to its annual foreign-school maximum. Payment is prorated by your benefit level.
Eligible students studying more than half-time may receive a monthly housing allowance for their time enrolled at a foreign school. VA rules and exclusions apply.
Eligible Post-9/11 GI Bill students may receive a books-and-supplies stipend of up to USD 1,000 per academic year, prorated by eligibility.
AUS can guide you through school admission and work with your Certificate of Eligibility. The VA makes the final decision on eligibility and payments.

Start early. Foreign study requires coordination between you, the VA and AUS, and approval applies to the specific program—not only the institution.
Apply for VA education benefits and obtain your Certificate of Eligibility through VA.gov.
Ask AUS and the VA to confirm that your intended degree program is approved for your benefits.
Submit your academic application and required documents so AUS can evaluate your admission.
Provide your COE to the AUS School Certifying Official, who will submit the required enrollment certification.
Important: AUS does not determine your GI Bill eligibility or payment amount. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs makes those decisions. The dual-degree pathway is available in participating AUS and Tiffin University programs. Your chosen program must also be approved for VA benefits.
